TYPO3 CMS migration from 4.5 LTS to 6.2 LTS

Collection of links and methods which could help to migrate Your installation and extensions from TYPO3 CMS from v.4.5 LTS to v.6.2 LTS.

Planning

  1. Backup Your files and database. Version sources before to begin th emigration.
  2. Update all 4.5 extensions, which also compatible with 6.2.
  3. Install smooth_migration extension and make automatic code update.
  4. Move core symlinks to 6.2.
  5. Resolve blocking issues on buggy extension.
  6. Optionnaly migrate DAM to FAL with the help of we_dam2fal62 extension.
